Crenshaw Holds 28-Point Lead in Recent Poll, Defeats Steve Toth in His Own State House District

[TX-02] – After bragging that he could win his campaign for Congressional District 2 “straight up against [Crenshaw] by 16 points,” reality has dashed Steve Toth’s hopes in the form of a new poll that not only shows him being crushed by Congressman Crenshaw by nearly 30 points in the primary but also losing his own State House District.

Toth has consistently claimed that his campaign is performing well in the polls. In his recent Tucker Carlson interview, he went as far as claiming that a large portion of Harris and Montgomery County GOP primary voters have an unfavorable view of Congressman Crenshaw. No source was provided by Toth, leading voters to believe that the numbers were simply fabricated. According to the new poll, which shows nearly 60% of GOP primary voters view Congressman Crenshaw favorably—completely debunking Toth’s claims—that may well be the case.

Some other findings from the poll, which can be viewed below, also show Congressman Crenshaw with a 30-point lead over Toth among self-identified Strong Republicans, and over a 25-point lead over Toth with voters who identify as religious conservatives.

Because of Congressman Crenshaw’s huge advantage, it’s no wonder Toth feels the need to lie, something he has repeatedly done in the past to gain any sort of traction in his campaign for Congress.  With the facts, momentum, and voters all on his side, Congressman Crenshaw is poised to deliver a decisive victory in March.
