What can I expect from Summer of 1776?
Welcome to the first annual Summer of 1776, a 4th of July celebration and beach club experience like no other.
When you arrive, you’ll be greeted by a crystal clear lagoon and a large beach area. There will be cash bars throughout (credit card accepted too), an assortment of food truck options, beach merchandise, and plenty of places for you and your friends to hang out, whether on the beach or on the lawn.
At 5:30 p.m. the live concert begins with Blink-281 (a blink-182 tribute band) and country music singer Tim Montana will start soon after that. The center of the lagoon will be open to all guests over 18 to relax in a tube to enhance the concert experience. With Lago Mar’s state of the art lighting in the lagoon, guests are welcome to enjoy the concert into the evening time from the comfort of their tubes in the lagoon.
At around 9 p.m., an epic patriotic drone light show will commence.
Throughout the event, there will be non-stop music! When the bands aren’t playing, we have a day time and night time DJ to keep the party live. There will never be a dull moment.
This event is friendly to all ages but only 21 and up will be served alcohol. Keep in mind that this event will be loud and crowded and fun, so plan accordingly!
We will be selling all your beach necessities, like towels, hats, and approved floats to enjoy the concert from the lagoon. No need to bring anything unless you want to. Outside food, beverage and weapons of any kind are not allowed on premise.
We highly recommend the VIP experience, which will give you access to designated seating, free drinks, bottle service, and access to the VIP clubhouse.

What’s the difference between General Admission and the VIP Packages?
General Admission to Summer of 1776 will include come and go access to the party, shuttle service from predetermined areas throughout Houston, and first come, first serve lawn seating. There will be food and drink (alcoholic and non-alcoholic) available for purchase throughout the event. Come enjoy the beach, family friendly activities, and of course the beautiful crystal clear lagoon. A limited number of General Admission + Clubhouse Access wristbands are also available for purchase (which gives you access to our indoor lounge, a covered VIP patio lounge, and private bar and Tin Roof BBQ.)
Beachside VIP is perfect for those who want to dip their toes in the sand and enjoy a tasty beverage on the beach. This package includes 4 wristbands, along with two beach chairs and an oversized umbrella for shade. The package also includes three complimentary drink tickets per seat to redeem at any of the bars located on property. Additionally, you and your guests will also gain exclusive access to amenities such as valet service and access to the VIP clubhouse.
Beachside Deluxe VIP is ideal for groups up to 6. Your lounge set will include a sectional and an umbrella to provide shading throughout the day. More importantly, beachside lounge service includes bottle service (1 bottle) with mixes and garnishes provided. Each individual in your party will also receive three complimentary drink tickets to redeem at any of the bars located on the property. Additionally, you and your guests will also gain exclusive access to amenities such as valet service and access to the VIP clubhouse.
Cabana VIP is our most exclusive VIP package. This covered cabana will provide comfort for 8 people. This package includes bottle service (2 bottles total) with mixes and garnishes provided. Each cabana will be exclusively serviced with a private server to attend to any additional requests your guests may have. In addition to the prime real estate to the beach or the VIP pool, you and your guests will also gain exclusive access to amenities such as valet service, access to the VIP clubhouse, and an arrival gift of limited-edition Dan Crenshaw merchandise.

Are children allowed to attend Summer of 1776?
Yes – we welcome all ages! But please keep in mind that this will be a party with loud music and crowded spaces. General Admission seating is on a first come, first serve basis. There is also a children’s splash pad area outside of the lagoon entrance for those with little ones who want their own space to play.
How will I receive my wristband?
VIP Package Holders will receive their wristbands via mail beginning in mid-June. General Admission will receive their wristband during check-in at the lagoon on July 4th.
What can I expect is the check in process?
Expect the same entrance experience as entering a professional sporting event.Upon arrival, our staff will wand each individual. We will also conduct bag searches to ensure the safety of all attendees. Once all is clear, you will check in with one of our volunteers and receive your wrist band.
Do children have to pay to attend?
Children ages 12 and under may attend free of charge BUT they must RSVP prior to the event. Anyone above the age of 12 must pay the General Admission fee or be registered under one of the VIP packages.
Can I leave and come back to the party?
Absolutely. You will receive a wristband upon arrival. Show the wristband to the front entrance to come back to the party after you step out. The party begins at 4:00 p.m. and goes until midnight., you’re welcome to come and go as you please.
How do I get to your party if I don’t live nearby?
We will have shuttle servicing from the Spring, Kingwood, Spring Branch, and Downtown Houston areas. If you are interested in this option, let us know which location is closest to you and your party in the drop-down tab when checking out for your tickets. Our team will verify your purchased ticket before getting on the A/C filled, WIFI equipped shuttle. At the end of the party, the shuttles will also bus everyone back. There will be some opportunity to catch a shuttle bus back throughout the day as well.
Will parking be available?
Event parking will be offsite with shuttle service transporting you and your family to the event location. VIP Packaging includes specialty parking and valet.
Will there be seating?
Summer of 1776 is a festival style celebration. Lawn and beach seating is first come, first serve with the event being standing room only. Can I bring my own food and alcohol?
No. We will provide food trucks at the event to allow you and your party to decide what cuisine fits your mood. Beverages will be available for purchase at the event as well.
What time does the live music begin?

Can I bring a flotation device?
No, you cannot bring your own floatation device, however we will have tubes available for purchase in the Crenshaw Shop. These tubes were pre-approved by Lago Mar, providing safety for those that use it.
Will there be a fireworks show?
No, there will not be a firework show, however we are providing a unique one of a kind drone light show that’s sure to blow any fireworks display out of the water.
Can I bring my pet?
Lago Mar does not permit pets on property. Exceptions are made for registered service animals.
Are firearms or weapons permitted at the event?
All weapons, including concealed firearms, are prohibited at this event and on the premises of Lago Mar.
